Big night for Gift Quilts at May meeting

Queanbeyan Quilters had a good meeting last night with a huge Show and Tell of Gift Quilts which have been quilted by our generous member Kay, of Kay's Quilts.

As most of you weren't there, here is a little show for you. Currently we have two priorities:
to make quilts of hospital bed size and to make many small quilts for under two year olds. The members of Queanbeyan Quilters make lots of quilts for other destinations too. One such was our raptor and native animals quilt, which was handed to a representative of Wildcare at the meeting last night. Their intention is to raffle it to help raise money for facilities and equipment for the work that they do. We are looking forward to buying some tickets in that raffle!

Maryanne from Wildcare receiving their raffle quilt.

These  below are all quilts destined for youngsters needing some warmth and comfort.

Then there were even more quilts shown which will find homes in the community at some point.

Drainage bags are always needed by cancer patients and these ones will go to Queanbeyan Hospital.
